Reporting status after bankruptcy
So I was the cosigner on a car. I filed bankruptcy and listed the car as a debt, but it was not included in the bankruptcy, because the primary wanted to keep the car. Now, the primary wants to get rid of the car. Since the car was listed as a debt on my bankruptc, I am no longer financially responsible for it, correct? But the finance company is still reporting on time payments to my credit. And for you people who think you can't get credit after a bankruptcy.. I got approved for a 2007 jeep grand cherokee with $500 down and 3.39 interest rate. Then a week later I got a 2013 chrysler 200 with $100 down and 12.3 interest.
