Question about credit card use to raise credit score
I just got a capital one credit card for a small cl of $300. I wanted to know if it is ok to spend that entire cl amount each month because I pay it off in full each month. I'm trying to raise my credit limit significantly, but I realize it may take some time. When I was 20 I got 2 credit cards that went into collections, and in a year they should come off, but it has been my experience that just because they should does not mean that they do. What would be the best way to use this card to increase my credit score? I've always been a pay in cash type of person, so I have very little info regarding on time payments, even though all of my payments toward bills (rent, utilities, cell phone, cable, etc.) have never counted toward the on time payment that the credit agencies use. Thanks for any tips!!!
