I cant understand why my credit score is not going up
My score went to an all time low (565). I have been monitoring and addressing issues on my credit report for the past 4 month, however, and have made some big changes I would have hoped would have reflected in my credit score by now. I have successfully disputed several collection accounts (I started with 13 and now have 9...mostly all medical) and of the remaining I will be done paying off 6 of them in the next 3 months. I have paid off 2 credit cards (total balances worth 2000.00) and I have remained currently on my payments to my auto loan and personal loan (which have always been current). I had a bankruptcy in 2003 and this fell off my report in March 2013. I have not seen any improvement in my score and wondered how long before I can expect some changes or at least I would like to know what I needed to do besides paying off old debt and staying current on present debt? I am really trying to be diligent about my credit and pull it together once and for all. Please help.
