Removing Bankruptcy

Your bankruptcy does not fall off until ten years from your discharge date from the bankruptcy court.  If this has not fallen off your credit report, contact the Court that your bankruptcy was filed in obtain a copy of your discharge sheet.  Its a true copy from the bankruptcy court.  This document shows the date of your discharge and provide it to the credit bureau, they will investigate, once they investigate and determine that it is supposed to be removed, they will send you their determination in the mail and let you know when you can expect it to be removed from your credit report.  Usually 30 days from the date of their investigation being completed.  However, don't bother contacting them until you have contacted the court to get an actual copy of the discharge sheet.  The credit bureau wants verified.  If you follow these steps, you should have no problem.  Good luck!!

It may be a few more months, depending on when the BK was filed.
