fixing factors that are out of my control
the "derogatory" marks on my credit are things that I can't do anything to change (i.e., average length of open accounts). I also had a short stent of needed credit (refi of my home, quickly followed by a car accident that resulted in a new auto loan, and a last minute "fix" that I opened a new card for) so the other mark is on "inquiries" which were all approved and are reflecting positively on my credit history. Is there anything, aside from WAITING, that I can do to improve my score? I don't want to inquire about raising or lowering credit limits because I'm afraid it will result in another inquiry. I also don't want to close any accounts because I'm afraid they'll hinder the "length" of my credit history. Any suggestions??
