Do student loans which are over 10 yrs. old ever go away?
i have a friend who has unpaid student loans which are over 10 yrs. old. She is a senior now-62 yrs. old on oap. Does she still have to pay back this money?

Student loans never go away because they do not have a Statute of Limitations like other debts.  They also cannot be discharged in bankruptcy.  I suggest she contact the loan servicer and see what income contingent or forgiveness programs might be available to her.
