Disputes create hard inquiries on your credit report
Two weeks ago I did a dispute through CreditKarma to TransUnion. TransUnion removed the item from my credit repoprt BUT created a hard inquiry on my credit report. I submitted same account in dispute to Equifax. The refused to remove item but did adjust date back a year. This resulted in a hard inquiry by Equifax. So why bother disputing something if it ends up hurting you with hard inquiries with each dispute. I am not doing any more disputes. TransUnion removed. Equifax is playing hard ball. I'm not going to even try Experian. They refused to accept my dispute online required me to mail in my dispute with documentation.
