Credit card approval chances?
How likely am I get to get an approval for a credit card offer, if I have recently bought a house (5 months ago) but my credit utilization is higher now (40%) than it was at the time of mortgage closing (15%)? The credit card offers didn't start coming in until the utilization % was well above 65% a few months ago. I am mainly interested in accepting the offers from the Wells Fargo Home rebate and Citi Simplicity credit cards to replace some other cards I have that are higher interest rate with annual fees from before I purchased the house. Currently I have a CK score of 607 but it should go up some when my next credit card statement reflects my latest payment. Also my score was 635 on Credit Karma at the time of the mortgage closing despite being 690, 696 & 715 on the 3 bureaus at the time of the closing.
