Collection Question
What is this going to do to my credit score? Or what can I do to keep this bill from going to collections? I like many on here am trying to improve my credit score. I'm trying to avoid a medical bill from going to collections, which will have a negative impact on my credit. I've made contact with the company several times asking to set up a payment arrangement that I can afford. Each time I've been denied saying they will accept my payment, but the amount requested to pay each month was not enough. Though the bill is related to a car accident, I am aware that the bill is my responsibility. This puts me in a tough situation, because I can't afford the payment arrangement they will agree to. I don't want to set myself up on a payment arrangement that I know I will not be able to keep. Any suggestions?
