charge off/profit loss although i paid in full?
I recently paid a personal loan off in full to Continental Credit/Security Finance, the original creditor. The amount I paid was 830; which was 760 principal and 70 late fee, this was over 120 days late. But they are now reporting it as a charge of/payment after loss profit, and are only reporting the 760 amount. As far as I know the collection was still open when I paid it off. I called them to ask them to remove it and they would absolutely not budge. Can I dispute this with the bureaus since they're reporting a lesser amount than I paid and since I paid it in full ? They received all of their money and interest and late fee so it seems like they shouldn't be able to report it as a loss.
