Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
When I filed in 2012 I had a line of credit since 2006 tied to my checking account that had a zero balance. I’ve continued to use it since and pay it as agreed the whole time. A new bank took over in 2016, closed my good standing account and reopened it under them with an opening date of 2006. I paid the balance down to zero in August. They reported on my credit report that it was included in the BK and the account was derogatory and closed the account. I called and they said it was because it was opened before the bankruptcy and asked if I reaffirmed. There was a $0 balance when I filed, nothing to reaffirm and has never been late. They didn’t write off any loss but now it’s a new bad credit on my credit report and they won’t do anything about it. What can I do about this?
