Chapter 13 Bankruptcy was never finalized by the courts, can I have it removed?
So Back in 2010 my ex-wife and I were planning to file chapter 13 bankruptcy, filed in the late summer and by the time it came our court date in November she had already left and we had split. She wrote to the courts and our lawyers removing herself and debt from the bankruptcy and I never pursued it any further after the initial court date where they verify employment etc. The debt was mostly hers but it still shows on my report even though it never went anywhere or finalized by the courts. Should I get the courts to draft a letter stating this to have it removed? Will they even remove it?
