Excellent card, I don't know why some are fussing.  You buy something (1% cash back) then in the next day or so, log on and pay that item off (1% cash back for paying it off) and there's your 2%.  I will not use this card travelliing internationally as there is a 3% foreign transaction fee, however there are other options for that.   If you can pay your balances in full and know how to manage your finances, then this card is well worth it.

When you purchase something with the card, go online and pay it off in the next day or so.  When the statement generates, you will see your combined 2% cash return on purchases and the items you have paid off during the statement cycle.  The reviews about not receiving the cash back, or poor customer service, I suspect is the card holder error and not Citi.  Being a card member since 1993, I have never, ever, experienced issues with Citi.

Best rewards card ever.  However, honestly ask yourself, can you pay your entire balance in full each statement cycle.  If yes, then you won't regret this card.  Some have commented about being approved for lower limits, or complained about fees, or poor customer service.  It's you, not Citi that's irresponsible.  Pay attention, pay it in full each month, reap the cash back (and other consumer benefits like extended warranties) you'll be fine.
