I had credit in the mid-high 700s when I was 19-24.    When I was 25 (in 2008), my business took a hit and my income suffered.  I could not find replacement work with adequate hours to pay *all* of my bills, and I had to let a private student loan default.  It hurts to see that credit score drop so drastically.   Now at 30 I am almost back to the  700s again.  Almost.   Life circumstances can change and ruin you at any moment.
