I debated between this and the AmEx Platinum. For international travel with no brand loyalty (which is me) this card is so much better. The felixibility of the rewards is far greater. I also immediately made $1000 when I got the card by transferring over 200,000 chase points from other cards to this one and getting the 50% bonus. The lounges and restaurants around the world are solid, chase rewards are fantastic and I’m excited to be over $400+ for the year on this card including the annual fees, etc. Approved for $32,500 limit within about a week. It wasn’t immediate. Credit is 800 trans union and 790 equifax. Also, I’ve determined you need to spend around $3600 on travel per year on this card in order to break even on the fees. Keep that in mind and don’t just apply because it’s metal! Haha.
