Ok so I saw this card and the bonus available.  I thought ok lets give Wells Fargo another chance since they have to be cleaning there problems up and trying to do right for there customers.  The application and approval was quick and easy.  Got my card pretty quick too.  I spend a lot of money monthly on credit cards so I hit the threshold of the reward before the end of my first month of use.   I hate to admit this but I have better rewards cards so after I hit my reward I switched back to my regular card.  Good thing too because Wells Fargo once again proved why you should never trust this bank with any of your information.

Years ago I was added to a relatives safe deposit box just in case anything ever happend to them.  Btw, Wells Fargo bothched  that process up too.  Lord knows what this bank did with my information.  Well getting back to this card I was wondering where my check was since I hit the reward.  I get a call from the person who added me to there safe deposit saying you have mail at my house??? Why is this?   I have no idea and when I got ahold of this mail it was from Wells Fargo and it was my reward check.   They sent my reward check to an address I had nothing to do with and never gave them as my addess.  The addess where the credit card was sent and billing was coming to my proper address that I gave when I applied.  So what is going on?   When I called Wells Fargo and spoke with customer service they informed me sorry your account shell profile has that other persons address on file and since the "outside Vendor" who processes the rewards for Wells Fargo only gets that infomation it's why it was sent to the wrong address.  This made very little sense to me and proves again Wells Fargo needs to be shut down.  It's a bank that will never get it right or protect your privacy.  The rep even made comments like good thing Im still in contact with that person and just imagine if it was something like a Mistress and didn't want the husband or relatives seeing my name.  :(  Are you kidding me?   No reward is worth jepordizing your personal information and Wells Fargo has proved it will abuse your privacy and risk your information for the sole purpose of the bottom line.   Avoid Wells Fargo if you value your private information.

I am happy that I caught the lack of ROI quickly before I dumped to much cash into this process. It's funny how I get 2-3 emails a day begging and advising me to do automated investing from lending club. I never did that either and again very happy. I took the time to review each loan and trust me wasn't much fun. I believe the system caught on and was only offered very limited amount of loans. I think the whole thing is a scam and sooner or later it will come out as such. Only thing I am doing now is pulling my money out every time I get a payment. I can't imagine going through 10,000 loans and with there stated "kick" rate that would be 13,000 that you would agree on not to mention the 3-4x's that amount you would never agree to in the first place. They also skew the #s by putting things in like this - "Adjustment for Past-Due Notes" when you click on that you get this information - "Actual value is based off estimated future loses on past-due loans" So it's #s are not even real to my account but something they want to stick in so when I see a crappy returns they can say, oh well we told you,.....yada yada. Also, they don't have a forum for investors to discuss things. Every business online has some type of forum (some moderated) but why do they not have this? What are they hiding?

Not to be critical of you but also this card is for personal use only so if you using for business it's against the RICA or simple terms the rules of the account. Not sure if that is the problem but I can see by you using it a lot for business purposes to be out the norm for regular personal spending.

Calling people morons because they wanted to state there view on a bank? Why would anyone have a grudge against a bank besides the bank doing something wrong. I should post the letter I received from Well's Fargo that clearly shows each and every mistake they made in the whole process of my concern and I bet you would still give this review and call me a moron. Calling people names and your comments say you are the one who is suspect. If you really had a great experience with Wells Fargo then power to you because it's for sure not the norm. Making your comments to those of us who did not have that type of service makes no sense.

Reply to Seawall121 - Clearly you're a hypocrite. You leave this comment in response to my review "The review is about a card not about the bank" and this is the review you posted about which you say is about the card and not the bank.

Wells Fargo is an amazing bank. I've been with him for 4 years now and not one single issue. People who pay their bills usually don't have any issues with banks. There's always an exception
though.

Your comment is contradictory to your claim but what should one expect from someone who probably has motives. I've worked for a major bank for years and you are very much mistaken with regard those who have issues with banks. When banks fail them for service related issues is when the relationship tarnishes. I explained my experience in depth to give an example of what poor customer service Wells Fargo both did to my credit card account and what they are known to do on a lot of accounts. I've never missed a payment in my life and my high credit score reflects my responsible handling of credit. Which it has for years. So your terrible assumption makes no sense. Wells Fargo is a bank that has problems and has had problems now for years and they continue to prove to me from my direct experience they are not a bank worthty my loyalty

Still not one person making a comment as to why my review is not helpful. Go figure I guess hiding behind a simple click is all they are about.

Wow this review process is looking about as pathetic as Wells Fargo. My situation even got worse, they changed the address on the persons account to mine. They told me they were just changing my address for my account and wouldn't touch theirs. So Wells Fargo took action once again on someone's account without proper authorization. My situation has been escalated to executive offices even and they are in the process of cleaning up there mistakes and mess. What I want to know is who are these people clicking my review didn't help? Are you employee's of Wells Fargo? Really what does someone has to say for you to realize this bank is a joke? I mean if you don't think my example shows a serious problem with there processes why would anyone want to read or hear what you have to say about anything? How about if anyone else doesn't think my review is useful why not enlighten me as to why???

Investor side - Terrible
Helpful to 0 out of 1 people

This is coming from the investor side -  I am investor with Lending club.   At first it looks very attractive but the more and more I get into it I think this company sooner or later will be found out for doing things very questionable.  I can't stand the customer service.  I got a guy that sounded like he was reading scripts and couldn't answer basic questions without double talking.  More than 30% of the loans are kicked and that is including people who withdrawl there loan and LC rejecting the loan.  When I browse the loans a huge % dont have complete info  IE job title, how long at job and so on. .   I find there credit scoring system to be a joke.  They are floating loans on OUR money and there risk is next to nothing.  They also have an insane cost for investors when the loans go past due.  The fee's they charge for collecting the $ is insane and can ruin any return on the intial investment.  They push the auto investing because they don't want you to review the loans the way any smart investor would.  They state there is 100sof thousands of loans available but when I go to browse the loans I get if I am lucky 200-300 to pick from and that is even before I set my own filters  IE time since collections and so on.    Yes the % is better than what is currently available but soon rates will be going back up and some of the tride and true options for making money will be a much better option.   I would stay clear of this as an investor.

Here is another example of why this is bad idea as an investor. They really push you being diversified and an example of that is putting only $25.00 into a single loan. The reason for that its stated is to minimize your risk. What they don't tell you and you will find out quickly is if you do that and when you payments start showing up your ROI can be cut half because of there 1% fee per payment. Here is an example of that ------------------------------------------------- $25.00 A1 5.32% 36 $24.36 $0.02 $0.75 9/13/15 What this shows is a loan of $25.00 on someone rated by Lending club of A1 with a rate of 5.32% and each payment I get .02 cents in interest. They take 1% of the payment which means that 2 cents of interest (my profit) just got cut in half to one cent. The payment terms are 36 months So I will get with this example a return of .36 cents on my $25.00. So after waiting 3 years I will get a return of .0144 for my investment. PFFFT and yes they have higher rate loans but the higher you go the higher risk of a deadbeat loan. So yes doing 25.00 loans does mean your risk is lower but it also means Lending Clubs return is maximized. Any company that pitches that and tries to make you focus on that is not a company trying to truly make this a great experience for all but instead only looking out for there bottom line. Don't even get me started if this loan is ever late and if they collect my return will be negative even if the loan is paid in full after the collections process.

I have called again and got information stating that there will not be any increase in # of loans till October. I have pulled out all my free cash and I was about to dump 100K into the process but glad I see the true colors. I am sorry but your process is very questionable and the loan information you display is weak at best. Why do you post so many loans with N/A? showing in the important fields? That doesn't even make sense and your scoring system needs to be transparent to those of us who are funding your loans but we know that is not the case. I love the idea of peer to peer lending but it's proving to be in its infant stages and I don't think Lending Club realizes without your lenders your borrowers will have nothing to borrow.
