LOAN and "Credit" Card
— Credit Karma Member
This is a unique financial product in that it is a LINE OF CREDIT (i.e., a loan) that you can use both to have access to CASH UP TO YOUR CREDIT LINE (unlike cash advances, which are limited) AND/OR you can make purchases, as with a credit card. However, unlike a credit card, at the end of your billing cycle, if you don't pay the balance in full, YOU PAY BACK AS YOU WOULD A LOAN, i.e., you pay the lender's PREDETERMINED MONTHLY AMOUNT, THAT INCLUDES INTEREST, until the loan is paid off (you don't get to arbitrarily decide how much you want to pay). A lot of users in these reviews say, "My credit LIMIT was reduced after I made every payment on time." They don't understand that they don't actually have a "credit limit," but rather a credit LINE (i.e., a LOAN). As with any other loan, once it's paid, it's paid. The lender doesn't automatically give you a new loan. EXAMPLES Using for Cash: Let's say your line is $5,000. You can "draw" (i.e., borrow) from $1 - $5,000 and have it sent to your bank. You IMMEDIATELY start accruing interest on the amount you borrow. You choose to draw $1,000. You have up to 36 months to pay the loan back, but keep in mind, the longer you take, the more you'll pay in interest. No matter how soon you repay the full amount, YOU ONLY HAVE $4,000 LEFT TO BORROW. Using as a Credit Card: During a month, you charge $1,000; you are actually BORROWING $1,000, because, again, you are using a line of credit, not an actual credit card. At the end of the billing cycle, you can pay the FULL BALANCE ($1,000) WITHIN 2 DAYS and you won't pay interest. After 2 days (even if you're going to pay the full balance) interest begins to accrue. You will pay what the lender PREDETERMINES your monthly payment to be (or more if you choose) until the balance of the loan is paid off. I hope this information is helpful. My actual opinion about this product is neutral (3 stars).

Ridiculous
— Credit Karma Member
I recently tried to use my card and the transaction was declined. I knew that I had more than enough available credit, I thought, to cover the expense. A week later, I received a letter in the mail stating that they had reduced my credit limit significantly because my credit score dropped by ten points! I’ve had this card for years and never missed a payment nor missed ANY payments on my other cards. This has obviously been very elusive on their part and unexpected. This caused me to reconsider ever using this card again.
