Account closed due to inactivity

No email, letter or notice that account was closed due to inactivity with a zero balance and always payed it on time. I've had some deaths in the family in the past 3 years, my mother has cancer, and the most recent family death was the 25th of March 2024. Account was closed within a month later while I was busy trying to contact family members and make arrangements. I also did not receive a letter or email with any warning of closing my VS card and still have not received any information except from CK, that the account was closed by the grantor. I've read that it's a lot of times due to inactivity and frankly most of the time if I buy from Victoria's Secret I will use one of my other cards that has 5% or more cash back. I tried to call them to find out why I have not received any prior notice of account being closed only to receive a recorded message that says my account has been closed and I cannot get another card. I've been reading about others with the same issue who never received any notification prior as well. I haven't shopped there that much because the quality has gone down and everything I like always comes in a print of some sort that I would prefer to have a solid color which I can easily find online somewhere else just without the name brand attached. So I'm not even going to be upset about it... they can keep that measly card! I have many other major credit cards. Pretty sad that they don't notify you at all prior to closing the card. I think it had been two years since I have used it. Not very good business in my opinion and some of my favorite body sprays seemed to smell like they had been watered down or something had changed. I mostly used it for birthdays, holidays and Christmas for gifts for others, But unfortunately my dog passed away this past Christmas of 2023 therefore I never did use the card last year because I was dealing with Other matters. Definitely lost a customer with me from here on out for sure. I tried to call them since my card is showing valid until October 24th and I wanted to ask them why they didn't just wait until then or informme to use it or lose it. When I called, I received a recorded message that said that my card has been closed and I cannot open another account when I only wanted to speak with someone. I don't need their card. Really bad business and it looks like it's no secret anymore since I'm not the only one.
