i reported that i never recieved bill for a bebt from 3 years ago so i dispute and they send a bill

i have a collection on my account that is from 2008 and i never recieved a bill for that account or anything. i just recently filed a dispute against it and 3 days later all of a sudden got a collection in the mail for same amount but from a different place. what can i do?

Your best bet is to pay it. I tried using the same arguement when one of my student loan bills was sent to my parents rather than me. Their responses was that the bill was a courtesey the contract/agreement is all that matters. TL:DR you can't claim that you didn't pay cause you didn't get the bill.

Pay. (No bill does not mean you do not owe it !) You woke up the sleeping giant by disputing it. (If you dispute, the credit agency will contact the creditor to verify)

you made contact with them, saying you didnt have a bill so they sent you one.. what did you think they were gonna do? only thing left know is to pay the bill..
