You are right...a mix is the best and that is what makes your score. Yes a car loan should make your score go up PROVIDED that your debt to income ratio is still good.

Your best bet is a secured card with a national bank for like 500 dollars. Stay away from those ghetto cards they will Kill you with the annual fees and interest is like 33 percent. When you get the secured card from the bank, Pay it on time and they will most likely after a year turn it into a unsecured card, and most likely even raise your credit limit. Then from there, well it all depends on all kinds of variables, but a car loan or personnel loan will help out tremendously. Also dont Max out the card or any credit card for that matter, you only want like 20 percent utilization on any cards.

Need more information, like whats your score at now, what type of tradelines or accounts do you have presently? how much do u owe on the accounts?
Response posted 1 year ago
Well how bad is bad? If anything you can start by getting a secured card from a national bank. Start with a 500 dollar limit. Pay on time, and they should make it into a unsecured card and maybe add to the credit limit. From their you need to get some kind on a loan whether a personnel loan or a car loan. Pay that on time, and you should see your score go up. Their are a thousand ways to do it it depends on your situation. Check this site out, http://www.creditinfocenter.com/ their is a wealth of info on here that can help you out. Their is a forum where their are very knowledgeable people who can answer any of your questions for free. And most responses are with in minutes depending on what it is you are asking.

You need to dispute all of those negative tradelines with the big 3. trans union, equifax, experian ASAP!!! Do not do it online...dispute them via snail mail, so they cant play the lost game with you. When you get the credit reports from all three you need to dispute all negative inaccurate information with them and I cant stress this enough send the disputes certified return receipt Also you can put a fraud alert for free with all three bureaus. This will stop the individual/s from continuing to abuse your credit. Another thing you need to do is go to the police and file a complaint. This will help you in getting the credit bureaus to remove all those fraudulent accounts. Even though you know that they are not your accounts you still have to prove it to the big 3.

Usually when a BK falls off your score should go up, how high depends on what you have been doing since your discharge. If you rebuilt your credit and paid on time when that BK falls off your score should go up. Their are way too many variables that are involved to compute exactly how many points. A better place to ask this question is in the forums at this website...http://www.creditinfocenter.com/ Yes it is 100 percent free.

Their is really no "quick" way to increase your scores. However, if you haven't already done so, get your free annual credit reports from the big 3. Check it for errors, see if their are old inquires that are on there that should not be, if so get the CRA to remove them. The max time a Hard Pull can stay on is 2 years, sometimes 3 depending on the state you live in.Also check the reports for inaccurate information. If you want to learn more try reading the wealth of info on this web site...http://www.creditinfocenter.com/

Yes the new scale will be at 900 from what I have read on other sites. BTW You have nothing to worry about with those scores that is excellent credit.

Yes and No....It depends how long you have had the accounts open,If you pay them off it is great. BUT you don't want to close them. Furthermore you don't want to ever max any card out. EVER!!! Here is what I would do ...if you owe 300 dollars between both cards which equals 600 dollars...pay 250 on each one....that increases your available credit limit, keeps the accounts open, and you can make the minimum monthly payments on the rest that is due to build more on time payment history. Then After they are paid in full do that again..charge like 100 on each one...this may seem dumb...but it a way you can show creditors that you can pay on time..plus it will build your score more than just paying them off and not using them...Check this site out if you need more info on how credit works, read and also go to the forums section a lot of your questions will be answered.http://www.creditinfocenter.com/

Well either you were late paying the payments or their was a error on the OC (original creditor) you can try calling them and getting them to fix it if it is a error, BUT You better write them also and dispute that if it is wrong THEY have to correct that mistake by LAW. It is always better to write them and send certified return receipt and have a record of the dispute. They have 30 days to respond and fix the error or it has to come off your trade line.

IMO The best way to rebuild your credit is to go for a secured Bankcard from a national bank like BOA, Etc. That will not only raise your score over time but will also have the potential, depending how that you pay your monthly payments, to turn into a unsecured credit card after about one year. Furthermore they will most likely add to the available Credit limit.
