Is a credit card payment paid 5 days late reported as late on a credit report?

I was late by 2 days due to a snafu for  my creditcard.  I was told that late payments for the credit card was reported if it was more than 30 days late.

How do I increase my credit card utilization?

@jhrhodes - This is an exceptionally helpful response.  I have, as you figured, been paying off my cards before the statement is even received.  I will plan on letting the charges sit for a week or two after the statement date and see where that gets me.  I am going to try to get Amex to waive my fee, though it is doubtful that they will.  It was my primary card and I've been a good client for them.  If it doesn't work, no loss.  Thanks again for your useful response, and to all those who answered.

How do I increase my credit card utilization?

@Keese. I am, as most others on this site, interested in increasing my credit score.  I am not playing with the cards, I am seeking advise on potential actions as it relates to my credit score. @ JSRHODEs - CK is showing my utilization as 0%, which doesnt seem quite right.  My concern is that I do not use my CC's all that much anymore, and any increase in my credit limit will make it harder to bring that utilization up to 3%.  I am not sure if I need to use ALL the cards, or if I can increase the utilization using just the new rewards card.  Right now I have a "C" on credit utilization - my worst mark. Also, perhaps I am paranoid, but it is difficult to get a clear answer on when cancelling a card is OK.  The JetBlue Amex is ~4-5 years old and not my oldest card.  Thanks for your thoughts.
