I have not had any problems with Capital One Bank. I have checking and savings accounts with them as well as credit cards. As far as banking goes, I foresee many improvements coming with the latest acqusition of ING Direct - which was the largest national direct bank in the country. Together with Capital One, they will have the largest national direct bank by far and I expect many improvements (especially with their online banking operations) to become available in the near future. Ex. ING Direct was developing ways to deposit checks online (not yet live) but when this happens, I expect Capital One Bank to have the same features as they now own ING Direct as a result of the aquisition in June 2011. Many more branches are on the horizon as (now) the 5th largest bank in the country (in terms of deposits) spreads to a national footprint (currently only in three markets: NY/NJ, DC/MD/VA, and LA, TX. Capital One Bank - coming soon to a location near you!

It seems you are reviewing capital one's credit cards under the Capital One Bank listing which is separate from their credit cards. You can actually go inside Capital One Branch locations which is what I believe this review listing was designed for. You thoughts may be warrented, but I think they are in the wrong location.

Capital One Financial Corporation is the parent comapny. Capital One Bank (USA) National Association, Capital One National Association, Capital One Loan Management Inc. etc are just a few of their subsidiaries. If you saw an inquiry on your credit report don't be alarmed, this was a soft hit and won't really affect your score. If you applied for a Capital One credit card or mortgage loan than this will affect your score as it is a hard hit. Your review seems to be listed under Capital One Bank even though the review seems to be directed toward Captial One's credit card line of business so seems to be in the wrong location.

I love this card! Tons of options and the no hassle features are awesome. No gotchas, no black out dates etc. You can even buy a flight on your venture card on whatever airline you like on whatever discount travel website you like and then get Capital One to pay for that flight. If you got a great deal and got a cheap flight, they won't charge you a "set amount" like other "miles" rewards cards. The Visa Signature features make this card great. Also if you spend over $1,000 a month, this card (the 2 miles per dollar and $59 annual fee after the first year version) is a better deal than the free 1.25 miles per dollar version of the Venture card. Do the math yourself if you don't believe me! If you spend $2,000 a month on your card, you will get $480 worth of rewards each year, without considering any bonuses you get!
