Just instantly approved for $1900 limit for their Store card. Special financing from 6-24 Months with 0% on select items. You can use the card as soon as you are approved, no waiting for it to arrive in the mail. 25.9% standard APR is high, but the 0% offers are well worth it. This comes only a week after approval for $2k on a Chase Freedom. Available credit has increased over 3.5x in 10 days. Awesome!

In the cases where the limit isn't reported, I believe the "high balance" is used as a judgement for your limit. This used to happen when Cap One didn't report limits.

I would try Capital One. They were my first card with no credit history. Three months later, they approved me for another, and a year on from that I have just been approved for a Chase Freedom card. It takes time, so don't go piling up on the inquiries.

TU (CK) of 689, EX of 723. Have good payment history for 14 months and 11 months on 2 CAP One cards. Instant approval for 2000 limit, 0% for 6 months and 17.9 APR from then on. More than doubles my available credit, awesome!

Denied with a CK of 722, they only checked TU. Mystery to me, they listed length of accounts and insufficient history. I have 2 CC (9 mo & 12 mo) and 1 Student Loan, all in good standing, less than 10% CC usage on last report. Doesn't look like much of a "student" card to me, if they have such high standards.

It could be that you have put down 10000 as a number in fields such as "Balance of all checking and/or savings accounts" when applying for a credit card or loan. Mine came from the savings box of a Cap One application.

Paying off your bill can be a way to show you are responsible to the CC Company, encouraging them to raise your limits, which should raise your score.
Carrying a balance has no effect on your score, as utilization does not take into account what is new purchases, new advances, old balances or fees - it is all one current balance.

You sure can ask, but they are more likely to offer you a Credit Limit Increase, if anything.

If your CK is showing a score, the dealerships must be pulling your history from other bureaus for them to get a "thin file" result. Call your Credit Card companies and make sure they are reporting all of your accounts to all 3 major companies. You shouldn't be showing a thin file with 4 CCs.

No, the score is TransUnion's traditional score.

You will definitely need the address and phone number, just to put on the application. The card will get send there. A bank account, you may not be able to do, but as long as they don't question the address you may be able to find a CC that will allow you.

On all of their new accounts, yes they do. If you have an old card with them, I would call them and check.

You should have less than 30% utilization across all of your cards, if you are thinking of applying for a card with Excellent credit as a requirement, some banks like to see a balance on just one or two cards, rather than all.

Sorry, you're not "guaranteed approval", you must still have enough income to pay potential bills from the card, but they don't pull your report.

The Public Savings Bank card has no credit check for the initial deposit - you are guaranteed approval and it won't give you a hard inquiry. Good Luck!

Some lenders will have release clauses in your terms. Look them over to verify, usually need 12-24 months of on-time payments before the Co-Signer can be released without refinancing.

Capital One usually pull reports from all 3 Agencies if you are a first time customer with them. They report account standing to all.

No. Green Dot is a debit card.

If you can, increase your limit on the secured card to atleast 750, which should not be considered a low limit.

All scores of 650+ will get OK rates for a mortgage, aim for 720+ to get everyone's best rates.

You will need to try a Buy-Here-Pay-Here, be prepared for a large interest rate and a huge downpayment.

You will not get any unsecured cards with a 533 score. Pull your report at annualcreditreport.com and fix any problems with it, then get an unsecured credit card from Public Savings Bank.

You should look at Capital One's limited history cards, go for one with no A/F and you should get it as long as you have no prior delinquencies. Be responsible and it will rise steadily.

No, and you can update on here up to every day without affecting your score.

Most advice will tell you to use under 35% on average, depending on where you look. I try and keep utilization down below 20% to ensure I can pay off my balances at the end of the month.

This is called Capital One Credit Steps, seems like their way of encouraging you to manage your finances well. I got this on my first card with them, a Standard Platinum.
