I've had this card almost since they started offering them, and it's been a good card to have, although it's not as great as it used to be compared to, say, a Chase Freedom. They recently upped the rewards to make the card more competitive:

I had a score of about 690 and had been receiving offers from Discover every month or more for the past year. Finally decided to apply online. Received a phone call from a guy who asked me all my information again (dunno why they needed it twice) and approved me over the phone right then. They gave me a $4,000 limit (highest of all my cards) at 17.99% APR (lowest of all my cards). Plus when I activated it they said since I had a birthday coming up I got double cash back rewards that month! This is easily my new favorite card!

Stella0211, the Sapphire card is either a VISA or MasterCard, your choice. Everyone accepts Sapphire; it's not a different service like Discover.

I was a BofA customer from 1993 - 2011 and they were always good to me. Never any phoney charges even the one time I ran my account down almost dry. Recently had to file a dispute with some fraudulent charges on my debit card and they resolved it quickly in my favor and refuded the money. Only reason I left them is because they don't have any branches in Colorado!

This is a good starter card for building your credit history; I applied for it on a whim and they gave me $500 unsecured with a nice 17.90% interest rate. One downside; most credit cards no longer charge an overage fee but this one has a $29 overage fee so don't go over your limit!

This is an okay card; I have fair credit (660 - 690) and they gave me $3,000 but an outrageous 19.90% interest. I suppose the travel rewards are good but I don't travel that much. I applied for this card based on CK recommendation but I'm not impressed.

If you had written documentation why didn't you sue them?

I was a BofA customer for 17 years. Previously I had a VISA from them which they closed without notice due to inactivity 3 yeas ago. Recently applied again and got a new BankAmericard Cash Rewards with a $5,000 limit. Not bad.

I used to have one of these and it was quite good, $2,500 limit, but they closed it due to inactivity without notice!

I'm a new Chase Bank customer and signed up for this card after receiving an offer from Chase! They turned me down because I have ONE derogatory mark on my report; a tax lien from a long time ago that I didn't know about at first and paid off in full as soon as I was made aware of it in 2008. I have several cards from other lenders but ONE derogatory mark is an automatic disqualifier from Chase.
