AMEX has gone downhill over the years & SUBSTANTIALLY the past few months. They have been cutting credit limits to right above your current balance on the card even though u pay in full each month. Also had to escalate on customer service just to get an incorrect $.50 finance charge credited back to my account. They use to do that with no questions asked. What a bunch of jokers.

Countrywide SavingsLink account has 4.05% with a minimum 10K.

However please note that both Washington Mutual & Countrywide are more riskier banks as they have lots of residential mortgage exposure. If the companies went under then you would have to wait for the FDIC Insurance to get your deposits back.
