The 5% is NOT RETROACTIVE. Meaning if you spend in the $6500 - $12000 range, this card is not worth it when the other options are considered, because for that first $6500 you're getting terrible cash back. The high percentage back only applies to purchases AFTER $6500 (total).
This card is totally worth it, however, if you spend $20,000+ on credit cards yearly.
