There is no actual score. There are dozens of different credit scores in use. It is up to the bank to decide the one that works best for them.

Don't bother. After that time they stop affecting your credit score. It is just a waste of time to try.

Well if you have good credit and decent income, you can do it at any time. Anything can be refinanced.

Your score continues to improve after your BK. By the time it goes away (7-10 years), the impact is very low. So don't expect your credit score to jump after the BK is gone.

In a way they do. Closed accounts stop helping your credit score. Keep in mind open accounts in good standing help build good credit.

Lot of reports have errors. Go to AnnualCreditReport.com and confirm the data. Then call the credit card companies to dispute it.

It is not just credit scores anymore. It used to be that way 10 years ago but now lenders lookd at your income, where you own property, and a number of other factors.

Just call them. But be warned it may lower credit credit score depending on how old the card is and how old your overal credit history is.

Credit card debts are based on the time the lender reports. For many people, this is not their cycle time. There is a basically a 1/20 chance it will be right since there are about 20 business days per month.

I think the papers will mean your husbands endemifies you from the mortgage company. But the mortgage company does not really care. Since they are no a party to your agreement. The only way to get it off your report is to have your husband refinance the loan without you.

No. Prepaid cards are not credit products and therefore wont appear on your credit report. If you are looking to build credit consider a secured credit card which is like the prepaid but reports to the bureaus. Just note that with a secured credit card you have to pay on time even though they have a deposit.

I think you are on the right track. I would say time is all you really need. If might also consider a non store card. They will often have high limits which can help you. But you are doing all the right things.

After only 3 missed payments? I've had my Citi card for 12 years and never had 1 missed payment. Missed payments are the precursor to default.
