is this card meant to reestablish credit or does everyone use it only as a debit card?"

This card will not help your credit since it does not report to the bureaus. Try Public Savings Bank if you are looking for something that may help your credit.

Why would you use this instead of a no fee, free checking account? What is the advantage?"

Not everyone has a checking account.

I LOVE my Account Now card. No overdrafts, $9.95 monthly fee. That's it, there are no hidden fees and no drama. The best thing going in debit cards"

Some people who commented are stupid. If you have direct deposit you pay nothing per month. That's right $0.00 per month if you have direct deposit set up. I have an account at AccountNow and I pay $0.00 per month. Also there are no fees like this $150 fee someone is talking about. Its no wonder these people have low credit scores, their IQs are low too."

I have this card and I think it's great. They do not charge $150 to get a card. They only charge a $9.95 activation fee which is waived when you sign up for direct deposit, which I did. Also, their monthly fee is the same as netspend at $9.95 and includes free bill pay, free credit builder and the opportunity to borrow money. Plus there are no overdraft fees like a bank. I am happy with my AccountNow card."

check out netspend, same company (metabank) but only the $10 monthly fee is charged. used them for checking for 3 years and wouldn't even think of going to a normal bank"

$9.95/month fee? Even with Direct Deposit? No Thanks. I'll pay the $15 fee to close the account..."

no...they charged me $150 just to get the card in the mail...then you have to make a minimun deposit on the card in order to even use it...i wouldn't recommend this to anyone!"
