It's a good first card to have. I didn't have any credit when I applied for this card. I still applied for the Citi student card and got denied. However, when I applied for this card, I received an instant approval. I did find it kind of weird that you could have entered a different profession other than student on the application, but that's beside the point I guess. I had a credit line of $500 back in October 2011. Now it's at $750 with 7 on-time payments. Only complaint is the high APR, which is why I'm considering another credit card right now.

Just applied for the Journey card through Capital One. Could not be happier. I have a CK score of 646, which I had rebuilt from around 550s two years ago. My credit limit is $2000 and was approved in approximately 60 sec. APR is 19.8%, but I plan to pay everything on time. This is my first unsecured credit card in the last four years and I'm glad to see that I'm on the road to credit recovery. Would definitely recommend the card.

low Credit limit, 300。。 and spend half a year to increase the line into 500. Ridiculous!

Credit Score of 641. No other credit cards but own home and make almost $40,000. Approved for credit limit of $2,000 instantly. Had a Capital One about 4 years ago that I stopped making payments. It closed, went to collections, then paid it off. No credit cards since but credit has also been flawless since.
