accepted with a 666 and 2 hard inquiries in the past 2 years...did have to call and verify some information. choosing a design was also a bit confusing but overall went smoothly for my first credit card. read tons of reviews on numerous sites and this card seems to be the best fit for me as a student who plans to not carry a balance and use the card primarily for gas and groceries. also - i preferred cash back to points.

Credit Karma credit score was 689. I've had a secured Visa for a year and 2 months with a credit limit of 300 dollars. I just got approved for 2000 dollar credit line with Discovery student card. look into the 5% cash back though, it turns out they only give 5% back for certain purchases and those purchases will chance each quarter
