This card is great. Simple. Get $100 taken off any travel purchase for every $5,000 you spend.

Think you need to spend a lot to get money? Look at other cards. Also has primary rental coverage.

I would agree that if you don't have sufficient income, you should not be approved.  I had already stated our debt ratio is very low.  We have few debts and good income.  What I meant was that income that is from disability should not be treated differently than the same income from a "job".  Discover specifically asks about the disability and we were contacted for a question about disability so clearly this is a determining factor perhaps this and your age.  It should not matter the source of your income as long as you can prove it over an extended time.  It certainly is not an issue when obtaining a home mortgage.

Be warned, if you are disabled, you may be discriminated against.  That is certainly the case with my husband and I.  It does not seem to matter that we have a low debt ratio, good credit score, significant credit and never late on a mortgage in 15 years or a car payment.  Clearly we were treated differently due to our income.  Why not just request proof.

I don't know what you people are whining about. I just applied and got approved for a grand on this discover ad. Looking forward to getting my card in a week or so and watching my credit score climb!
