they asked me to send them an 'original letter from my school which shows im currently enrolled'. how am i supposed to do that? just call my school and ask them to send me a letter confirming my status for next sem?

Most school administration offices will provide this. Also a transcript will usually work.

How do I find out what an approximate credit limit for this card will be?

Credit lines are often determined by your credit score, income, and other factors. You won't know the credit limit till you apply since each issuer has different formulas.
