Had this card for almost two years but have only been using it for the past year. Gave me a 4000k credit line when I was in college with no credit history (I filled out the application in exchange for a free pizza at a promotional event on campus). Recently upped to 10000k, and my rate is only 13.24%. Customer service has always been great.

Guess times have changed. I applied to this card with perfect credit history (never a late payment), and was denied because of "insufficient length of credit history." I guess now they want the minimum 6 months or something (I've had my card for 5 months).

Was approved for this card a year ago with zero credit history. Been a great card ever since. Credit limit is now up to $2,100 one year later.

What other factors are considered if someone can be rejected with a 745 and approved with a 680?

Great questions. Some of the other factors are: Length of credit history, presence of serious delinquency, presence of bankruptcy, income, and extensive existing credit limits are just a few more of the underwriting guidelines of most banks.

When you pay off all your debt on some bills, how long does it take before a credit is back in shape assuming you have a credit card? Please moderator comment on this one as well.

It varies from person to person since there are so many variables. Try our credit score simulator and simulate on-time payment history. That should give you a good idea since it is tuned to your specific credit report.

denied why? what was your FICO/
FAKO, who did they pull, what was your utilization on your other cards, were you actually in school when you applied for the card? what reason was listed on your denial letter?
