I don't know how those 5 stars got there, I did NOT rate them that. 0 stars is too high for CITI

AVOID EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING ever offered with the Citibank, Citicard, or City-anything else logo. I had an account since 1989, never failed to pay the balances, even 2 or 3 times had balances up over $10,000. I had procurred my card at a time when a fixed rate was offered. Then in 2009, AFTER 20 YEARS, they informed me I had 2 choices, if I wouldn't accept them converting my account to a variable rate, the account would be closed and all I could do was keep paying off my balance at my fixed rate. Well, after 20 faithful, PAID EVERY BALANCE years, Citi closed my account. And just like that 20 years of good credit was closed and wiped off my credit report. One of the sayings often used during my career in the Marine Infantry was "Buddy is only half a word" (the inference being that the entire word should be "BUDDY_ _ _ _ _ R"). and I can assure you, saying this applies to anthing "CITI" is fitting. Think about that, you can be an honest and faithful card carrier with CITI for two decades and they will have no problem telling you that wanting to add an extra point or two to your interest rate is worth more to them than you are. . . and after you have put 10's of 1000's of dollars into their coffer. If any of the minds that control CITI should read this, you not only have no honor, but if a list was ever made recognizing insitutions which represent the ideals of what the Lord created our great nation under, CITI wouldn't even deserve a place on the paper. You are PATHETIC!

Balance transfer card only, though the rewards are okay if you're actually going to use it and pay your balance immediately. I do appreciate getting a deal on a hotel room. I just got the thing because there was no annual fee and no interest for 16 months to transfer a larger balance to pay off, and it added 5 grand to my available credit. Used it here and there and will use the rewards on my honeymoon and after the 16 months it will go in a safe and get swiped a few times a year to keep it active. If you truly want rewards though, look elsewhere. I would much rather accumulate rewards that could be used to completely pay for a car/ticket/hotel than accumulate small discounts on a set number of items. It is what it is: No annual fee, good for balance transfers in the first year, meh rewards- but better than nothing, and gives you a boost in available credit. I'd put this thing away when the interest kicks in though.
