Terrible service high rates.
Anonymous Borrower

This bank is really terrible.

The good, they don't sell your loan.

The bad:

- Rates are high.

- EXTREMELY resistant to refiancing.

- You need to monitor your account for added fees.

   - Failure to remove funds from an account at THEIR institution.

   - Charging late fees after they fail to transfer funds that are available.

   - Adding undocumented fees to the account.

I have to call them on average every other month.

Stay away, far away
Bugger39 Borrower

They lost our forms, called wrong employers to verify our employment.  They are dishonest about how long the process will take, they will not call you, they will not answer your questions, they suck

Horrible mortgage experience
Anonymous Borrower

This has to be the most incompetent mortgage lender in the buisness. I've had my mortgage with them for a year and a half and they have screwed up multiple times so far with mistakes rangeing from not applying my payment to my account to not processing my payment whatsoever even with it set up on auto pay. You would think that after the 2008 recession that banks would hold themselves to higher standards.

One of many services from WA Fed.
Anonymous Borrower

I refi'd with WA Fed when I realized I was the only one who was still paying the 6+% interest that I had from the initial buying of my property in the late 90s. They were super helpful with explaining how they hold their loans and the benefits/drawbacks of several of the options. It took about 3 weeks total--probably could've been quicker if I had my paperwork available for them (who has paystubs in this age of direct deposit?) or if I had more flexibility with multiple visits to sign paperwork.

The ding of one star is due to my finding errors of the spelling of my name, the property address, and other typos in the docs. Best to REALLY scrutinize rather than assume that the loan officer would never make a mistake.
