Got approved for $11k credit line
Credit Karma Member

It’s been 8 months since I applied for a new CC. I was given an 11k credit limit. I will mainly be using this Card for travel and to keep a small monthly spending balance to keep it in good standing. A lot of perks. Let’s see how this goes

3 HARD PULLS FOR CREDIT CARD APP!!
Credit Karma Member

Apparently when you apply, you give them permission to pull multiple reports, even with the same credit bureau. I had 3 hard pulls from equifax alone. Nov 22nd, 26th, and 29th. I called in to see if they can remove them and they said they are all valid pulls and there's nothing they can do. It's like I applied for a mortgage or something. They did approve me but I will not be keeping the card or applying for anything else in the future with chase.

Not approved right away due to credit monitoring
Credit Karma Member

My experience was good. I had a friendly call confirming that I was the person who applied for the card. My limit is $5000 and my credit score is around 750.

denied- with good credit
Credit Karma Member

All 3 of my scores are above 700 but was denied after applying. CK recommended the card with very good approval odds. So much for that.

Told me that my application was under review
Credit Karma Member

Credit Karma said I had a very good chance of applying, so I applied. I am very obsessed with my credit score and after years of spending recently I have paid everything off. I was looking for a credit card to add to my wallet that I can use everyday. I heard great things about this card , after 2 days they contacted me stating I needed to verify my address which is why it was pending review. They ofcourse said I was approved with a very high limit. Im excited to make this my everyday card. Also I have been trying to get a AMEX charge card for over 3 years and they keep denying me despite the me having my delta AMEX. I just wanted an everyday card, and Im considering just dumping AMEX all together because of the frustration of not getting approved. I cant wait to use this card and update you on the CS.

Be careful
Credit Karma Member

Be careful of the transactions you make with this card. If you expect a refund after closing (many would do so) this card when you find not so useful which I did, I expected a refund of $1000+ for a transaction and unfortunately I had lost the full card number. It's been close to 10 months now I am still struggling to find a way to get the card number/statement which is needed to track the money that the merchant had refunded to this closed account. I tried all the paths to the branches, online, Saphire/card support and to the exe office and still waiting for something that works. Surprisingly they can't track the card with my social and asking me to get the card number somehow. PS: I closed this account almost about 2 years ago.

Credit Karma Member

Received a pre approval from my Chase Freedom app ($600 limit) so I clicked to accept and received a $14,700 credit limit. Credit score with TransUnion @ 777 Experian 755 Equifax 748 My 4th credit card as I'm managing my credit usage well to keep under 10%. Started on Credit Karma 2 yrs ago with a 592 score. End game is to reach over 800 score for better interest rates for loans & leases. Hope this helps...

Great Semi-Premium Travel Card
Credit Karma Member

Currently my favorite card. The 25% boost to your UR points' value alone may make this worth the $95 annual fee if you're spending over $380 on flights/hotels per year, and it has some decent category points earning as well. Personally, the main reason I signed up for this was because the fee was waived for my first year, but it may be a keeper anyway. Strong perks, too, like basic travel insurance coverage and some related to car rentals. I can't say I've needed any of them, but I suppose it's nice to have. The main perk for me was having no foreign transaction fees; that was great during a recent trip abroad. Plus, the metal card just feels nice.
