Why did reporting a possible ID theft drop my score?
I'm military and they told us to review our credit reports. So I did and turned out someone had opened an American Express in my name over a decade ago. Charged one thing PAID IT OFF, then closed the account. Opened the account again and then almost immediately closed it. Why did reporting this drop MY scores down. The credit agencies are at fault anyway. I was 15 and in high school when those cards were opened!
