What is the best way to start fixing a absolutely terrible score?
Well Here goes,
I have a horrific score of 475
I owe just under $3000 in collections
I have a credit card (secured) with a limit of $300
I've had bad luck with having a secure job which has contributed to late payments
I owe about $12,000 in student loans
no actual credit card debt
I only make about $32,000 a year
I have a car loan that is about $140/mo and I currently owe about $4100 left
When I look at the improve my score feature the only thing that seems to improve it is getting another credit card.

I want to fix my score so I can eventually buy a house but I feel lost and don't know where to even start. I feel like I"m spinning my wheels in the mud and cant get out.

I'd just like a few tips on where to start. Should I work on the collections to start or is something else more important?
