Payed a previously removed debt. Was this smart!?
I had a debt in collection from about 6 years ago... It was removed from my report in November 2015.... Today I saw a new collection pop up on my credit report so I payed it... After I payed it I looked deeper and it seems to be the same debt that was removed in November, only this time it had a different collection agency name. I am currently trying to buy a house so I needed it gone ASAP thats why I jumped the gun and payed it right away... But now I don't know if I did the right thing? Does this make sense? Was this the fastest way to get this debt off my report?
