Is getting a credit card from a bank that charged off another card reaffirming the other debt?
I previously had a charged off account with capital one. The debt is still outstanding but they are offering me a $2000 credit limit with a new card. Will accepting this offer (activating the card) reaffirm the previous debt? Thanks!

Re: question

No, when an account is charged off, it can't be undone unless its paid or discharged in a bankruptcy.  They can continue to try and collect on it for several years, but they can't just add it to a new account.
