How to fight a 6 year old judgement on credit report?
In 2010 I was sued by a "junk debt collector". I was irresponsible and did not go to court and my wages have been garnished multiple times since (around $4,000). Within the last two years I discovered the original debt was a Wells Fargo credit card that was supposedly taken out in 2001 and ended in 2008. For the life of me I don't ever remember having a Weels Fargo credit card nor do I have any recollection of ever paying a bill for the said credit card. Apparently I still owe $7,000. Is it too late to fight this? Can I ask for proof of bill? This is the last negative item on my credit report and I would like to see it go away!
