Your credit report lists your "reported balance" not your current balance. Your credit card balances are reported to the bureau just once per month. It's not updated instantly.

You can't correct what is reported by

by your creditors.  Unless the account info is incorrect there is no reason to try and correct balances.  The balance showing in your report could be 30 to 45 days old.

In general, it can take 15-45 days for things to get reported and cross reported and updated.  In general info is updated once a month with info that has been reported in the last 30 days. There are nearly 320 million consumer credit files in the USA. Thats a lot of files to update.  So they often don't update the your file until its needed.

Using a site like this one will help get your account onto a cycle of updating so that the information updates more frequently.  When your credit file is larger it will become more active you're information will become more accurate because it will update more frequently.

Good Luck
