Do Doctor Bills affect credit scores?
I have a few unpaid doctor bills, will that show on my credit score?

If they go into collections yes. Medical collections are a big problem for credit scores.

if the bill hasnt gone to collections then no... it would have nothing to do with your score...

If you have already gone to collections then yes, it has a real negative effect immediately.. -50 -100 points easily..

I think the figure is around 60% of all bankruptcies involve medical debt. The doctors cannot send you to collections if you show reasonable progress at paying off the bills, contact them and set up a reasonable payment plan that you can work to pay off to avoid collections. If you plea your case, they may also give you a discount.
