Dismissed tax liens not removed after being disputed
The state filed 16 tax liens on a business that was defunct 8 yrs earlier. After settling THEIR mistake, all 16 were removed from Public Record of my County office (where they were kept) I disputed all 16 items w/ all 3 credit bureaus - Experion, Equifax, & Transunion.

Experion deleted all 16 from my credit acct immediately.

Equifax deleted 15 after the 2nd time I sent all the original paperwork for dispute (still disputing #16 for the 3rd time!).

Transunion has been given the oringinal dispute paperwork twice & all 16 still show on my credit report. If I click on each separate tax lien to do a Direct Dispute online for TransUnion, the result says the record has been deleted.. Well, if it's deleted, then why are all 16 still showing on their credit report under derogatory marks???

BTW, can credit agencies be sued for defamation of character?
