Did paying off my judgment, reduce my vantage score?
I had sterling credit till I declined to take a bad home equity loan, and wasn't able to get another, due to debt to income ratio.I defaulted, they put a late payment on my credit report ( the balloon)took the collateral, and I had a deficiency judgment. I just paid it, and that must have created a "bad" public record. So what was one black mark , has now become two. My Vantage score in Nov. 13 was 805 , now it is 775. I sent a thing into Credit Karma consumer whatever the other day asking them about this. I expect an answer shortly. But in the meantime, you may be of service. What's going on? And is there anything I can do to remedy this?
