Collections on report that are 5+(almost 7 yrs) old keep being removed and readded looks to be new?
I have a couple issues, one is when i first turned 18(i'm 26 now) i got over my head and messed up my credit bad.. a lawyer i spoke with said it would be better to let the debt go for 7 years rather than filing for bankrupcy so i agreed. Now i check my credit reports and those same debts (4 or 5 different accounts) keep popping back up under different collection agency names, and the date is like 2011/2012 when these debts originally went into collections in like 2006 or 2007.. is this common? is this normal? any help would be very very appreciated! i am really trying to work on fixing my credit and starting over much more responsibly. thanks

Go to annualcreditreport.com and get your fully detailed credit reports from each of the 3 bureaus. You will get a better picture of where those debts are coming from along with their contact information where you can call them and question them about the new / changing debt. Also file disputes if you know for sure that the debt(s) aren't yours in error or you suspect identity fraud. Sometimes incorrect information gets reported to the credit bureaus and would need to be resolved.

That was in 2011 (these are much older really tho, but now creditkarma shows this as of 2013:

1. RJM ACQ LLC

$149

In Collections

2. MIDLAND FUND

$8,498
