Normally, lenders see the on time payment history, the credit utilization and your credit score. If one is off or has a red flag, lenders tend to hold off until it is improved. I tend to stay on the 30% credit utilization and paying on time. I ask for an increase after 6 months if the feature of on time payments aren’t introduced. Hope this helps

Cable guy: that is the point of the strategies of having a good credit. Below 30% utilization is common, over that percentile tends to scare creditors. I learned the hard way of not being “credit wise” and thanks to Credit Karma, I have gained experience over the years and now I have decent credit (same points as Yamoore24 actually) and will improve my scores.

Guess my luck paid off, got approved with just $300. Not bad, I will definitely take care of it as one of my children. Lmao! On the side note, just be aware of the annual fee. Thanks, Capital One!

I have Capital One Quicksilver card for over a year. Initial start of $300 then up to $500 after three consecutive payments on time. Yes, it is best to have your usage percentile less than 30% per month. I haven’t asked for a raise of my credit limit until now. As of July, I am at 1,500 credit limit. My credit score is 675. My credit report isn’t the best. But try to keep your cards open that way it won’t hurt your credit score
