Use only to build or rebuild credit...

This card is for building or rebuilding credit. Everything is explained up front if you just take the time to read their policies. I was granted a starting credit limit of $500 with a credit score of around 580. After one year, they will allow you to apply for a credit limit increase. They report to all three credit agencies; so get this card if you can afford the fees and interest rate. There is an annual fee. Use it sparringly and make sure you make at least the minimum payment monthly and you will see your credit score increase. The interest rate may be high but that's just the price you pay when applying for a no-frills starter credit card. Also, customer service has been good to me so far. Payments post to your account within 24 hours usually but it sometimes takes a few days for your available credit to reflect your payment. Website is minimalistic but gets the job done. Use this card wisely, correctly, and do your part and you shall reap the benefits of a higher credit score.

So far, so good...

Got approved for a $500 credit line. It isn't much but I am still rebuilding/establishing my credit. I'm 39 years old now. In my earlier year I let my credit tank so waiting 7-10 years for EVERYTHING bad to fall off my report. Then applied for a few cards. Got approved for this card and received it quickly. They don't immediately take the annual fee out of my available credit (which is nice). The online web page could bee a little more fleshed out but it isn't horrible. So far I'm liking this card.

This card is for building or rebuilding credit ONLY. Make sure you read the fine print when you apply for this card so you know exactly what you are getting. Everything is explained up front if you just take the time to read their policies. There IS an annual fee that is applied to the card once you sign up. They offer you a $300 credit limit and nothing more. They also will not ever raise your credit limit with this card (as of this writing anyway). What you read is what you get. Nothing more, nothing less. They report to all three credit agencies. So get this card if you can afford the fees and interest rate. Use it sparringly and make sure you make at least the minimum payment monthly and you will see your credit score increase.

This really is a great card. Credit card companies NEED your Social Security information. You won't get ANY credit cards EVER if you are unwilling to give a banking institute your social security info. That's just the way it is. I have this card and so far they have done 100% right by me.

Got a $200 credit line increase immediately after 5 consecutive on-time payments. You must have either missed a payment or did something else to negate that as they guarantee a limit increase after five months of minimum payments.

Most credit cards take 30/45/60 days to show up on your credit report. Be patient.

They do periodical checks to see if you are qualified for a credit line increase. Be aware that you have to keep your entire credit report healthy. If you pay just this card on-time but neglect your other credit obligations, you probably won't receive an increase. Keep your entire credit report in the green and you'll be good to go.

What do you think a secured card is? Its not their fault you've got horrific credit and weren't responsible in the past. The bank isn't going to take a risk and extend you unsecured credit when they see that in the past you couldn't be responsible enough to pay back your loans. This just proves you are still a child and not ready to use credit wisely.

I am also interested in this card. I have a personal checking account with Chase and am starting my business shortly. Do you need to have a registered business license? I don't mind getting one but I would like to know beforehand.

I was under the impression that the max starting credit limit on this card was $200. They state (depending on your credit worthiness) that you have to make a deposit in the amounts of ither $49, $99, or $200 and get a secured credit line starting at $200?
