Great experience so far! my scores have gone up since i started so im happy about that I am not fully graduated from their program just yet but things seem to be headed in the right direction. Few things I really like about this company is

1. Honesty!!

2. The price!!

3. The Transparency

4.The portal and being able to track my progress (and emails sent to me every time something is done in my portal)

5. The compliance center and being able to see what laws protect me and how they use them to work in my benefit

6. The friendly attentive staff, they call all the time to check in and answer questions

The overall experience is great and again I have not yet graduated the program but I am very happy with the services so far and highly recommend them

Help or hurt my score?

Hello there, so adding the mortgage to your report will definitely help as long as you are making your payments on time.Your utilization however, will still contnue to hurt your score until you pay it down but i'd like to think of that as an easy fix, when you're thinking of making a major purchase, if any, then you can lower your utilization a month or so before. Adding th mortgage will help your score but the high utilization may counter the progress; I would still recommend it though

Are you better off closing unused credit card accounts or letting the creditor close them?

The answer is no, you should try to use them to keep them open. Once you start closing cards you're minimizing your lenght of credit history and overall utilization. If you are able to it would be in your best interest to use it from time to time and pay them to keep them open

Lenders arent obligated to report to the bureaus, the same way you see inquiries for cable and phone bills but they dont report the positive payment history.

Well you wouldnt contact the bureaus about an unfamiliar charge you would talk to "Smile Generation Financial" and go through the charges with them to see if you guys can work it out The bureaus can only change inaccurate reporting not charges
