I liked the Cash Back Rewards and earned a few hundred dollars every year I had the card. After 5 years, I had someone steal my card number and place an online order for $800. I have the alerts set up and immediately called to have the payment blocked. I was told they would and I would be contacted by the fraud department. I called the company the order was placed with and they volunteered to work with my credit card company. I called BoA again and they said it was still being investigated and an agent would contact me. Nearly a month later I receive a letter in the mail saying they determined it was not fraudulent as the order used my name and address(although a different phone number and email were used). They did not stop the order but instead paid it and charged me.
I was luckily able to work with YSL(the company the fraudulent merchandise was purchased from), who has AMAZING customer service, and they refunded my money. I then immediately cancelled my BoA card. I don’t want a credit card company that won’t even investigate a fraud charge properly and lets others use my money.
