I can't speak to the full quality of the loan yet because I only just got it, but it was a simple application process. I'm excited for this step forward to get my debt paid down on several credit cards that I no longer use. I'm thankful to save almost 10% APR with this loan.
To correct even the most minor issues takes multiple calls and escalations. The website sucks. Much better service (terms, rate, credit limit) from my local credit union. Goodbye BOA
Long story short my parents passed away and left me their home with a mortgage I was attempting to pay so I wouldn't have to give up their pets, I got behind and they refused to speak to me because my name isn't on the account. They also refused to tell me what I needed to do so that they could speak to me. For MONTHS I sent them letters with no response because everything is supposed to be submitted in writing. I filed complaints with the NCUA with NO RESPONSE. I submitted loss mitigation paper work again with NO RESPONSE. They sent a certified letter to the wrong address 2 months ago and have now transferred the trustee and filed a notice of default with NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER! I don't even know who to contact at this point. I'm about to be homeless with 3 dogs because of these people. The family home we've had for 40 YEARS!!!! I'm going to contact HUD, attorneys, the CEO of CFCU and whoever else I can think of, you are NOT getting away with this. Avoid banking with them at all costs!
This was the first credit card I was able to get after so many years. One thing I quickly figured out with the card was wait until the statement comes in to make your payment and ALWAYS pay more than the minimum. If you're responsible with it, and truly manage the balance, then this works out great. If you struggle with managing money in general, I suggest waiting on getting this card or any card for that matter because the APR is steep and can be a swift kick in the teeth if you're not on top of it. Again, like any credit card, you need to be mindful of your spending habits. I use this primarily for things like gas in my car and my annual recurring charges. The app with it is great and easy to manage not only the balance, but making the payments. I also recommend turning on both app notifications and text notifcations with ALL purchases just as an added layer of protection from fradulent charges.
